On one day me and my friend were assisted by a sales man whose indepth knowledge blew my mind. He was patient and ready to resolve all questions. Because of his friendly attitude we bought an insta 360 gadget and next day I returned with my husband to pick up an insta 360 cam along with some accessories. The sales man assigned to us on this visit was rude, impatient and least interested in talking or making a sale. On the same day we ended up shopping over the official website . Has behaviour costed the business a loss of sale of around SGD 1500.. not sure whether they even care!
I contacted Alan Photo online through Whatsapp and got a reply in an hour. I found their website easy to use and the buying process simple. I chose the free delivery option and got my lens in two days. I'm very happy with their service and I'll definitely buy from them again.

I was assigned a salesman who is rude, terrible and arrogant. I have been shopping from here for years and have spent thousands. Is this how you treat customers? The old uncle on the right and the guy wearing white (in the picture) were verbally abusing and mocking when I walked out after buying an item? How hard is it to be nice to people? Not everyone has the knowledge and we are coming here because we don’t know. Ask your staff to be nice to customers
What a scam!
I had a few alarms going off already when they brought out the calculator when I asked for the price. Next time I will stick to a place with price tags
The tax return was nothing but trouble and I spent more money going back and forth in a taxi. Every time they wanted me to bring something else in order to complete the documents.
Finally at the airport they told me that Alan Photo had cancelled the tax return. They warned me about shopping at Sim Lim Square and I will never go there again. Lying me straight in the face!
Many people might find Sim Lim with its shady history and bad customer service. Not sure if that has changed but, and with many camera stores more in Funan or Plaza Sing, there are still some good stores like Alan Photo here (I think they have one at Funan too)
Prices are reasonable and they are just doing an honest business. Peter really helped me out and was really straightforward with some good camera talks too. Do check this place out!
Andrew was very kind and helpful. He found a suitable replacement for the tripod which i had broken yesterday. The price was very reasonable. And it was almost identical to the one that I had borrowed from my friend.
